Hey, it's Paul McAleer.

Paul McAleer is a leader in digital strategy, content, UX, and design – usually wherever things are messy and need a clearer path forward. They’re at their best when pulling ideas together, spotting patterns in the noise, and asking the kind of questions that get a team unstuck. Their background includes 25 years of work across healthcare, retail, and B2B, but the common thread is helping people make good, thoughtful things together.Paul believes good work isn’t just about being clever or fast (though that can help) – It’s about making sure everyone feels welcome, heard, and equipped to do their part. Real collaboration is the baseline, not the bonus. Whether working with scrappy startups or more layered teams, Paul brings a mix of care, calm, and an occasional well-timed joke to keep things moving.People tend to come to Paul for their mix of big-picture thinking and attention to detail, their steady optimism, and their ability to see what’s not quite working before it falls apart. Paul is especially drawn to projects where the user experience could be smoother, the story could be clearer, or the system just needs a better shape.A gifted presenter, Paul has taken the stage at SXSW, WebVisions, and Design & Content. They also taught at Columbia College Chicago and General Assembly, and led Denver’s World IA Day for two years. Also: Paul once defined a taxonomy for an equestrian building company. Sadly, no horses were present during the course of the project.(Also, this is not a website.)
